Sun & Moon Times

Find sunrise, sunset, solar noon and day length for any latitude/longitude and date, plus the current moon phase and illumination.

About Sun & Moon Times

Enter coordinates (or pick a city) and a date to compute sunrise, sunset, solar noon and total day length, along with the moon's phase and percent illumination. Choose which time zone the results are shown in — a location's sunrise is naturally quoted in that location's own local time.

Times come from a standard solar-position approximation and are typically within a few minutes of official almanac values; the difference is largest near the solstices and at high latitudes, and the model ignores altitude and local terrain. For navigation, aviation or religious observance, use an official almanac.
